Ms. Sarah Elizabeth Brock, 92, of Cedartown, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2010 following an extended illness.

Miss Brock was born on Oct. 28, 1917 to her parents, the late John Wesley and Nelsie Sutton Brock. Brock was retired from the Quality Control Division of the Arrow Shirt Company. She was a long time member and the First United Methodist Church of Cedartown.

In addition to her parents, Miss Brock was preceded in death by her sisters, Irene Brock, Gladys Dempsey and Ruby Helen Brock as well as a nephew, Johnny Dempsey.

Miss Brock is survived by her sister, Libby Jo Brock, sister and brother in law, Kathleen and Coye Hackney, as well as a number of nieces and newphews, who she loved dearly.

Funeral services for Miss Sarah Elizabeth Brock were conducted on Thursday, July 15, at 3 p.m. from the chapel of the Lester C. Litsey Funeral Home, Dr. Bob Hoffman officiating. Interment follow in the Friendship Baptist Church cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were: Tracey Maddox, Buddy Joe Maddox, Todd Dempsey, Brey Barrett, Michael Law, and Richard Machan. Joey Maddox, Chase Edwards, and Cody Barrett served as honorary pallbearers.

The family requested that in lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the First United Methodist Church or to the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.

Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements for Miss Sarah Elizabeth Brock.
