Mrs. Anita Norton, 93, of Cedartown, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2010. She was born in Palmetto, Fla., on March 31, 1917.

Mrs. Norton attended Bob Jones University and the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Fla., earning a bachelors degree.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cedartown.

Mrs. Norton was preceded in death by her parents, Foster and Frances Riviere Lloyd; her husband, Fred Harold Norton; and a sister, Virginia Boyett.

She is survived by two daughters; Frances Norton Lanier, and Pamela Norton Lee and her husband, Jerry Neal Lee; and by three grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.

A graveside service for Mrs. Norton was held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 10, 2010, at the Greenwood Cemetery, with Rev. Earl Partain officiating.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Mrs. Anita Norton.
