Four people were arrested on drug charges Wednesday night after the Polk County Narcotics Enforcement Team raided a home at 805 Grady Road in Cedartown.

According to a NET press release, those arrested include John Miller, 44, of the Grady Road address; George Weaver, 54, of 129 Sardis Road, Rockmart; Jonathan Kirk, 32, of 520 S. Cave Spring St., Cedartown; and Shannon Mount, 31, of 40 Wheeler Road, Cedartown.

Officials said they received a tip that methamphetamine was being manufactured at Miller’s house and the information led to a search warrant.

Police officers found enough evidence in the raid to suggest the four were in possession of a methamphetamine lab, and the drug had been produced several times at the residence, according to the NET press release.

Police said they also believe that Miller had been producing methamphetamine for more than a year.

All four face charges of conspiracy to traffick methamphetamine and conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.

More arrests are expected.

NET officials said the Drug Enforcement Agency’s Clandestine Laboratory Team also assisted in the raid.

NET encourages anyone with tips about drug-related activity to call the tip line at 678-757-9616 or by e-mail at tipline@polkcountygeorgia.com. All information is confidential.
