Cedartown man arrested after setting clothes, car on fire

A Cedartown man remained at the Floyd County Jail on a reckless conduct charge after he was alleged to have set his clothes and then his car on fire in a Silver Creek yard.

According to reports from the Floyd County Jail:

Kevin Parke Quillian, 30, of 201 Lavista Ave. in Cedartown, was arrested by Floyd County police on the misdemeanor charge around 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Police reported that a witness who lived at the Daryl Road address said Quillian first set his clothes on fire in his yard, then put his car into neutral and pushed it into a tree after lighting it on fire as well.

Quillian remained jailed on a $1,350 property bond.
