Cedartown's annual Christmas parade went off without a hitch at 6 p.m. Friday.

Bad weather that forced the Rockmart parade to go into rain delay mode Thursday (it will be held at 6 p.m. Monday instead) had moved out of the area completely by Friday.

Parade watchers were greeted by clear skies, albeit chilly ones.

Bundled up, children, parents and other family members lined the sidewalks in downtown Cedartown to watch several high school and middle school marching bands; floats from area churches, civic organizations and others; and the Shriners with their odd and whimsical vehicles.

Two special treats this year were Santa, who even let The Grinch (from the Dr. Seuss book) ride with him on a vintage fire truck; and the Budweiser Clydesdale horses.

Really nice photos. Love the one of the horses!
