Four charged in murder of Cedartown teen go to trial April 30

Four men charged in relation to the robbery and murder of a Cedartown teen are on the trial calendar for April 30.

Bryan Edward Williams, 39, Eric Bernard Hightower, 37, both of Rome, and Chiresico Rodriques Montgomery, 28, of Cedartown, are char­ged with murder, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, aggravated assault, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm during a crime and theft by receiving.

Williams and Hightower are additionally charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The fourth man involved, Trenton Tyrice Williamson, 18, of Rome, is charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

They are charged in relation to the May 6, 2009, robbery and murder of 19-year-old Jeffrey Xavier Pledger Jr. of Cedartown in South Rome.
