Both the Rockmart boys and girls soccer teams finished last week with a 0-2 record but the future – both near and distant – is looking up.

In their first contests of the season, the Jackets and Lady Jackets hosted fellow Area 14-AA/A teams on Thursday and Friday.

The girls lost 10-0 to Armuchee on Thursday and scored in the final seconds of Friday’s 7-1 loss to Coosa while the boys were defeated by the Indians, 11-1, and were shutout by the Eagles, 10-0.
