Pooling resources leads to Polk auto theft ring bust

Criminal enterprises know no boundaries and police are increasingly pooling their resources to combat crime rings in the Northwest Georgia area.

A recent auto theft ring bust in Polk County, which included the work of Floyd County Police Department officers, illustrates the effectiveness of interagency cooperation.

As a result of that bust, said FCPD investigator Jeff Jones, Floyd County will be able to clear up a number of theft cases stretching as far back as 2006.
