A mix of wintry weather is possible for late Wednesday night and Thursday morning across most of North and Central Georgia, according to The National Weather Service.

A complex storm system is expected to develop Wednesday over the Gulf of Mexico and move Northeast across the area late Wednesday night and Thursday.

With a cold airmass in place across the area ahead of this system, an icy mix of winry weather is possible. This is expected to occur after midnight Wednesday and through midday Thursday. The mixture could contain a little snow.

The exact speed and path of this system is uncertain. . . and will have a large influence on what areas see any dangerous condition.

Everyone in this area is urged to remain alert for future weather statements and possible winter weather watches and warnings.
