The fall hunter safety classes will begin soon through the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Wildlife Resources Division.

The first class will be a CD Rom course that must be completed over the Internet by going to the following address: www.beasafehunter.org

Those interesting in taking the course must pre-register first, however, by going to: www.gohuntgeorgia.com

After completing the Internet course, participants must print out their test results and bring them to the final exam. The final exam will be offered on Aug. 12 and again Sept. 15, at 3 p.m. each day.

A conventional classroom-taught hunter safety course willl be offered on Oct. 9 and Oct. 11 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. each night. Students must attend both nights to be certified.

Participants are reminded that they must pre-register at least two weeks prior to the class that they intend to take.

All tests and the class will take place at the J.L. Lester Wildlife Management Area on Morgan Valley Road, midway between Rockmart and Cedartown.
