Clarence Lashaun Williams (a.k.a. “Ol’ Man”) and Chris Dulaney were charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute after drug agents searched their home of 614 College Drive.
Agents with the Polk County Drug Enforcement Unit had been investigating the house for months prior to the search. “This time, we’d been watching [Williams] for about three months,” a drug agent said.
Inside the College Drive home, police found an estimated ¾ oz of suspected crack cocaine and five ounces of suspected marijuana, as well as over $2,000 cash.
They also found a number of drug-related objects, and various items believed to have been stolen.
Over the past 18 months, Williams has been arrested a number of times on drugs and weapons charges, drug agents said.
Earlier this year, Williams was arrested on similar charges following a Hutto Road drug raid. “We arrested him in June,” stated the agent. “It was pretty much the same charges, except there were no weapons charges on this one.” Williams had previously been arrested on concealed weapons charges within the last year, he added. He is still awaiting trial on those charges.
The raid was also the first field activity for the newly formed SWAT Team. “They did good,” the agent said. “They took the door out and secured the residence. SWAT made sure the residence was clear and ensured the residents’ safety before the rest of us entered.”
Along with the drug agents and the SWAT Team, the Cedartown Police Department K-9 unit and the Polk County Police patrol division aided in the search.
The agents ask that anyone with drug-related information call their tip line at 770-749-4409. They stress that all information will remain confidential.
