The jolly bearded man from the North Pole will make a stop in downtown Cedartown tonight.

As part of the city’s annual Christmas parade, Santa will be making an appearance at the very end of the parade that will travel down Main Street at 6 p.m.

The parade will not only bring a little holiday cheer to the season but also a few four-legged special guests.

The Budweiser Clydesdale horses will be a feature of this year’s parade. According to City Clerk Carol Crawford, anyone interested in seeing the horses being harnessed for their trip down Main Street can do so prior to the parade at 5 p.m. at the former Cedartown Chevrolet dealership on South Main.

Pictures with Santa will also be offered today from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Cedartown City Hall.

Pictures were scheduled to be taken in front of the Courthouse No. 2, however, the possibility of rain led officials to change location.

There will be a charge for photos and all proceeds go towards the City of Cedartown’s Relay For Life team.
