Floyd County police have issued warrants for two Cedartown men and another suspect in connection with a Tuesday shooting that critically injured a Rome man.

Ernesto Rico Luque, 25, of Cedartown, Edgar Bautista Becerra, 22, of 420 Highland Road, Cartersville and Osvaldo Martinez Andrade, 25, of Cedartown, are suspected in the shooting of Jessie Vargas, said Capt. Tommy Shiflett of the Floyd County Police Department.

Vargas, 35, was shot several times Tuesday with a .40-caliber pistol at his parents’ house at 10 Friar Tuck Road, police said.

He was listed in critical condition at Floyd Medical Center Wednesday night, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Four males driving a white Buick LeSabre and a male driving a black car are suspected in connection with the shooting, police said. Police are still working on identifying two more suspects, Shiflett said
