A car wreck on the Cedartown Bypass (U.S. Hwy, 27) that occurred on Monday, March 1, led to the death of a Michigan woman and a vehicular homicide charge against a Decatur tractor trailer driver.

Frank Eisenhower Horton, 46, of 4229 Lehigh Blvd., Decatur, was arrested on charges of vehicular homicide and passing in a no passing zone after he struck another vehicle head on while attempting to pass a truck past the rail road tracks near the Polk County Fairgrounds.

The victim, Sharon Lee Keyser, 58, of Jackson, Mich., was killed instantly and pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the affidavit filed after the accident, Horton, who was traveling north, crossed a double yellow line and hit Keyser’s vehicle head on as she was headed south.
