The Cedartown City Commission met Monday night, approving motions that allowed for cosmetic improvements to the Cedartown Library.

One bid — the modification and repair of some of the library’s interior walls — has been allotted to the company British Brush for $1,455. Repairs are set to correct water damage from a faulty gutter system that the library had replaced in previous months.

A bid to clean the sidewalks surrounding the library and the exterior walls of the building was also approved. The low bid of $575 was awarded to Certi-Clean.

SPLOST funds will be utilized for the projects.

Sharon Cleveland of the Cedartown Library is hopeful that the projects will begin in the next few weeks.
