At least one of the men arrested for the shooting death of 19-year-old Jeffrey Pledger remained on the scene talking to passers by and reporters while police investigated Wednesday evening.
According to Rome police, Trenton Williamson was arrested Thursday morning on conspiracy to commit armed robbery charges.
Police are still looking for a fourth man who police say may be the gunman. A warrant has been issued for Bryan Edmund Williams, 39. Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.
Two others were arrested earlier.
According to Capt. Terry Autry of the Rome Police Department, Eric Hightower, 37, of Rome and Chiresco Montgomery, 28, of Cedartown, were both taken into custody after being picked up by an officer on patrol late Wednesday.
Neither Hightower or Montgomery are suspected to be the shooter, but are both suspected to have conspired to rob Pledger.
According to Autry, the two were brought in for questioning before midnight. Hightower was arrested on felony murder and conspiracy to commit armed robbery charges, while Montgomery was charged with conspiracy to commit an armed robbery.
Hightower remained on the scene, occasionally riding a bike around the neighborhood, talking to neighbors and chatting with a small crowd that gathered in front of the scene.
Autry said more charges are possible and more arrests are expected later today. Anyone with information about the shooting can contact Det. Pete Sailors at 706-238-5118.
