Its time to WORRY !!

I,ve voted Republican the last two elections ( I,m sorry to say)only to be sold out by these BIG spending ,incompetent bunglers (Proof look at our economy). And they themselves don,t deny it. they refer to it as having made a few mistakes . That,s like calling Stone Mountain a small pebble !

If Jimmy carter D and George Bush R are viable qualified candidates we,re in DEEP XXXX . These two and others like them are the reason people are considering independent candidates.

Those who vote for the REP. or DEMO. parties are guilty of perpetuating the problem. We need to put an end to the party rivalry in all elections by electing the independent candidate of your choose.

Demodog Hope your having a nice day.

Just wanted to say I,ve voted Republican the last two elections I feel I,ve been sold out by these Big spending , bunglers and they themselves don,t deny it .They refer to it as having made a few mistakes !!Thats like calling Stone Mountain a small pebble.

If Dem,s call Jimmy Carter and Rep.s call George Bush viable ,qualified candidates .We,re in DEEP DO DO!!These two an others like them are the reason people are considering independent candidates regardless of their qualifications. Those who vote for the republican or democrat party in 2008 are guilty of perpetuating the problem .In doing so they put their SEAL OF APPROVAL on the incompetent job they,ve done.We need to put an end to the rivalry in all elections by voting for Independents .

I like the idea of non-partisan elections for local offices and I think good candidates have been fielded in the past but "independents" in the major offices? I vote "for" a candidate not "against" as a protest and unfortunately, the Ds and Rs usually have viable qualified candidates (they may be liars, cheats and unsavory characters but qualified) and independents are usually not well represented, thus a vote for an independent becomes a protest vote and at my age I want my vote to count. Please vote, no matter how you vote but this is America and even if you don't vote you can complain or protest or praise just like the voters.

While it may seem difficult for the independent candidate, I am reminded of a cartoon my daughter watches. In one episode, the long-term mayor (who has always run unopposed in reelections) finally faces opposition by a young member of the community. Everyone in town jokes about "wouldn't it be funny if he got just one vote?" (referring to the mayor's opposition). Come election day, everyone is standing around chuckling. Turns out, they all decided to be the one vote against the mayor and the young opposition wins by a landslide. So if many people in the US hold the same belief that the independent candidate cannot win, but will vote for him anyway, even if only to cast a vote against the major party candidates, then we just might see an independent candidate in the White House.
