Outside of that, nothing has dampened the Bulldogs season so far.
After dominating Chattooga in the season opener, Bill Ellis’ team was rained out on Friday and Saturday.
On Monday, Cedartown returned to the diamond and blew out Cartersville 15-0.
“It was a game were everything went our way,” Ellis said. “Our bats were hot and Jacob Rodriguez pitched a shutout for us.”
Ellis noted that his defense was in the right spots during the game as well.
“Even when they hit the ball hard, it was usually right at one of our defenders,” Ellis said.
Cedartown won the game in three innings, as the contest was stopped due to the run-rule.
“Casey Newsome and Lee Sisson each provided a home run,” Ellis said. “The entire team swung the bats well.”
Cedartown is scheduled to play Model Thursday. However, their games against Darlington have been postponed yet again.
