The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County today, Feb. 22:

1. The Cedartown Senior Citizen Nutrition Center located next to Bert Wood Park has activities Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Seniors 55 and older may participate in activities. Seniors 60 and older may participate in activities as well as nutritional meals and trips.

2. Today is the deadline to register for the Cedartown Middle School yard sale to be held on Saturday, March 2. 10x10 spaces are available for $25 each, forms can be filled out in the front office.

3. The Rockmart Cultural Arts Gallery, 316 N. Piedmont Ave., Bldg. 300, Rockmart is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The gallery is currently showing the "Art in Motion" exhibit.

4. Allison and Connie Shaw will once again be collecting donated prom dresses for Polk County students. Anyone with a new or gently used prom dress can donate by contacting Allison Shaw at 678-988-3710 or Connie Shaw at 770-749-1083.
