Jeff Klein, new to the Aragon Police Department, has received a warm welcome

from the mayor and city council.

Chief Wayne Sanders introduced Klein, who formerly worked in Euharlee, Georgia. He said he has 12 years of experience and is a well-rounded officer.

"He will fit in at Aragon real well," Sanders said.

"I think we are fortunate to have him with us. He was at the Rockmart Police Department for several years."

Mayor Brenda Gazaway was among those who greeted Klein.

"I find your experience in smaller cities refreshing," she said. "It is good to have someone who understands what is important to citizens of a small community."

Klein said his preference is a small town in comparison to a big city.

"I enjoy the atmosphere and people," he explained.
