The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County this weekend, Jan. 5-6:

1. Crossviwe Community Church, 510 North Piedmont Avenue, Rockmart, will host a Red Letter Revival at 6:30 p.m. nightly through Jan. 8 with different speakers scheduled. The list includes Pastor Danny Echols, Crossview Church, and Pastor Johnny Hunt from First Baptist Church, Woodstock. Other speakers also include JR Lee, James Griffin, Nathan Galloway, Patrick Latham, Justin Brewer and Steve Davis.

2. Cedartown First United Methodist Church, 201 Wissahickon Ave., will hold Sunday morning worship at 11 a.m.

3.Freedom Baptist Church, 770 Huntington Road, Cedartown, invites everyone to join in a “Read the Bible For Life” class every Sunday at 6 p.m.
