The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County today Nov. 1:

1. Early voting in Polk County began Oct. 15 and continues through Nov. 2 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Cedartown Elections Office, 144 West Ave., Cedartown, and the Nathan Dean Community Center, 604 Goodyear Av. Rockmart.

2. The Cedartown library hosts story time for children every Thursday at 11 a.m..

3. The Polk Retired Educators will meet at the Cherokee County Club at 11:30 a.m.

4. The Cedartown Parks and Recreation Authority offers line-dancing lessons from 6-8 p.m. every Thursday in the Christian Center located at 605 Lanton Drive.
