Mr. Cribb

Ervin Jack Cribb, 81, of Cave Spring, passed away Thursday July 5, 2012.

He was born in Nashville, Ga. on April 10, 1931, a son of the late Clyde Cribb and the late Lillian Gladys Saunders Cribb.

A veteran of the U. S. Army, Mr. Cribb served in Korea during the Korean War. He was married to the former Norma Jean Fletcher Feb. 28, 1956, and was preceded in death by her February 24, 1988. Mr. Cribb had made his home in Cave Spring since 1968, and was employed at Bekaert for a number of years prior to retirement.

Besides his parents and wife, Mr. Cribb was preceded in death by an infant son, Clyde Cribb in 1958; by a grandson; three brothers, James Cribb, Clyde Cribb, Jr., and George M. Cribb and by a sister, Shirley Watkins.

He is survived by two sons, Ernest Cribb and his wife Dorothy and Earl Cribb and his wife Kim, all of Cave Spring; sisters, Jewell Jones of Tullahoma, Tenn. and Helen Cabe of Franklin, N.C., two grandsons and a great-grandson also survive.

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 8at 3 p.m. at the Rehoboth Baptist Church with Rev. David McKenzie officiating. Interment followed in the Rehoboth Community Cemetery with the Shanklin-Attaway Post 5 of the American Legion providing military honors. Pallbearers were Doyle Allbritten, Jeff Crider, Dale Duffey, Bobby Gaddis, Jimmy Cox and Michael Studdard.
