She was born in Rockmart, on April 1, 1934 a daughter of the late Rufus Milford Garrett and Lelia Pearl Lee Garrett.
Mrs. Cleveland had lived all of her life in the Rockmart area where she was a member of the Morning View Baptist Church and was a retired employee of the Goodyear Mill.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Horton Cleveland on March 15, 1984; by a sister, Mary Ann Moss and a brother Milford Garrett.
Survivors include a son, Scottie Cleveland and wife Sharon of Rockmart; sister, Joan Purser of Rockmart and brother, Charles E. (Tooter) Garrett of Rockmart. Two grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 23 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Alvis Miller and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Owen (Bud) Davis officiating. A eulogy was given by a niece, Amanda Loveless. Interment followed in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Bobby Garrett, Robby Garrett, Max Moss, Greg Moss, Chip Garrett and Chris Loveless. Honorary pallbearers were: Junior Thomason, Margaret Jennings, Wayne Purser and Charles E. (Tooter) Garrett.
The Alvis Miller and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
