A Cedartown man died last weekend when his tractor overturned after getting too close to the road’s shoulder, according to officials.

Timmy Odom, 45, of Cedartown was dead when emergency crews arrived, according to Coroner Trey Litesey.

Litesey said Odom died from injuries sustained in the wreck.

Emergency crews were called out Sunday morning to where the tractor overturned on Chubbtown Road. Odom was driving the tractor down an area of dirt road when he got too close to the edge of a ravine or washed out area causing the tractor to overturn, Litesey said.

Odom’s funeral was Tuesday and was conducted the Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home.
