The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County today, June 15:

1. The Cedartown Senior Citizen Nutrition Center located next to Burt Wood Park has activities Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Seniors 55 and older may participate in activites. Seniors 60 and older may participate in activities as well as nutritional meals and trips.

2. The Kiwanis Club of Cedartown meets every Friday at 12:15 p.m. at Cherokee Country Club.

3. The Rockmart Civic Arts Commission is holding its People and Portraits exhibit today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

4. Red Top Mountain State Park, 50 Lodge Road, Cartersville, is offering twilight hikes each Friday until Aug. 3 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. The cost is $1 per person and all vehicles must display an annual or daily parkpass. The hikes will start at the Discovery Room and then follow a park ranger on a moderate, one mile hike through the woods.
