Superintendent of Schools Marvin Williams contacted The Cedartown Standard Thursday afternoon about the change. Friday is the final day to qualify for the July election.
The District 3 and District 6 board seats are up for election. Williams said an outdated map on the school district's webpage incorrectly labeled District 4 as District 3, potentially confusing would be candidates about their eligibility based on place of residence.
A correct map is now viewable at the district's website.
