The Compassion House, located at 530 Main Street in Cedartown is looking for volunteers to help with Construction May 4-5 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

Work will include cleaning up the building, sweeping floors, some interior painting, assembling shelves, cleaning a side room and sorting out materials.

All volunteers are requested to please wear boots or tennis shoes due to stuff on the ground.

The Compassion House is also looking for material donations. Items that are still needed include: 2x4’s, plywood, nails, dry-wall, brooms, and anything for useful for cleaning.

Donations of canned and non-perishable items to begin stocking the food pantry and clothing for the penny closet are also now being accepted.
