The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County today, April 27:

1. The Cedartown Senior Citizen Nutrition Center located next to Burt Wood Park has activites Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Seniors 55 and older may participate in activites. Seniors 60 and older may participate in activities as well as nutritional meals and trips.

2. The Kiwanis Club of Cedartown meets every Friday at 12:15 p.m. at Cherokee Country Club.

3. Rockmart will hold community movie night at Hilburn field at 8:30 p.m. admission is free. Bring a blanket or chair and sit on the field and watch Puss in Boots. Popcorn will be available courtesy of the Rockmart Kiwanis Club and Cotton Candy provided by Redmond EMS.
