The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County today, April 2:

1. The Rockmart Civic Arts Center offerse Drawing classes on Mondays and Thursdays from 5:30-7 p.m. The cost is $12 per session plust a onetime $10 supply fee. Contact Instructor Kathy Toress at 706-266-7554 for more information.

2. There will be an oldtime Baptist Campmeeting under the old Gospel Tent in Rockmart at 7:30 p.m.

3. All Rockmart Civic Arts pottery classes are closed this week and will return to normal schedule April 9

5. Transitions Hospice Care is seeking compassionate individuals to provide support and companionship to patients. Anyone who would like to become an integral part of the Transitions Hospice Care team and offer superior hospice service to patients and families contact Britnee Tow, Volunteer Coordinator, at 706-378-2273 or btow@transitionshc.com. Opportunities are available in Rockmart, Cedartown and Rome.
