Benjamin Stratman Anderson Jr., M.D., a family practice physicians from Cedartown, is being honored by the American Medical Association for his 50 year anniversary of graduation from medical school.

“The AMA congratulates Dr. Benjamin S. Anderson Jr. on 50 years of dedication to the medical profession,” said James L. Madara, M.D., executive vice president and CEO of the AMA. “Dr. Anderson has seen many changes in medicine in the last 50 years. We senicerely thank him for his commitment to this great profession.”

Anderson graduated from Meharry Medical College of Nashville in 1962. He has been an AMA member for 50 years. He is a member of the AMA’s Senior Physicians Group which includes 55,000 physicians who are 65 years and beyond. It is the largest organization fo senior physicians in the country.
