A WorkKeys assessment for Polk high school seniors was held Tuesday, Jan. 13.

Participation in the program gives an added bonus to students entering the workforce.

Polk is part of the Georgia Work Program, which is a complete solution for making quick comparisons between a person’s skill levels and job requirements.

WorkKeys assessments are administered to help individuals assess their current skill level and determine how improving their skills can lead to better-paying jobs.

Employers can simplify making reliable decisions about hiring, training, and program development needs by matching job profile information with assessment scores of Georgia Work Ready Certified potential and incumbent employees.

“Work Ready has the potential to propel our state’s economic growth,” said George M. Israel, III, Georgia Chamber of Commerce.

“By bringing our regions together, committed to a common goal, Georgia can enhance its role as a player in the highly competitive race to attract new industry.”
