The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County today, July 7:

1. Rockmart High School will be the Learning Resources Evaluation Site for District 11 - June 27 – July 14, 2011 Learning Resources for Grades 6-12 Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) may be reviewed June 27, 2011– July 14, 2011 (Monday – Thursday) 8:30 am – 3:30 pm in the RHS cafeteria.

2. The magistrate of Polk County will be open in Rockmart on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

3. Youth and family Fun Nights will return this summer to Peek Park. The first was on Thursday, June 2. Games, a cookout and other activities will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month, continuing in July, August and September.
