She was born in Atlanta on Aug. 10, 1947 a daughter of the late Otis Griffith and Ruby Shipman Griffith.
Mrs. Wilson had been a resident of Cartersville for the past five years, having moved from Cobb County. She was of the Baptist faith, and had been an employee of Med Care.
Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Eugene (Gene) Wlison Sr. on April 2, 2007 and by two brothers, Robert and Wayne Griffith.
Survivors include three children, Howard Wilson of Tampa, Fla., Shelia Gates of Cartersville and and Gene Wilson of Cartersville; one brother, Ronnie Griffith of Covington and two sisters, Patricia Griffith and Velma Griffith both of Cartersville. Six grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 1 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the Alvis Miller and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Wilson officiating.
Internment followed in the Pleasant Grove Methodist Church Cemetery in Haralson County.
The Alvis Miller and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
