Mrs. Deborah Turner, 50, Rockmart, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2010 at her residence.
She was born in Polk County on Jan. 15, 1960, a daughter of Robert Lowell South and Ethel Maude Hlousek South. She was of the Baptist faith and had lived the greater part of her life in the Rockmart and Aragon area. Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Turner on April 29, 2001; and by a son, Adam Turner, on July 11, 2009.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Jami McNair, Dallas, Ga.; three sisters: Mrs. Sandra Burke, Hiram, Mrs. Connie Cramer, Hapeville and Mrs. Reba Forrister, Rockmart; eight grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 12, 2010, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Powers officiating. Interment followed in the Aragon Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Lee Stringer, William Sisson, Steven Barber, David Carter, Travis Forrister and Don Cheatwood.
The family received friends Sunday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Alvis Miller and Son Funeral Home were in charge of arrangements.
