Mr. Monroe Cleveland Puckett Jr., age 54, of Cedartown passed away Sunday, July 4, 2010.

He was born Dec. 11, 1955, in Cleburn County, Ala., to his parents, the late Monroe Cleveland Puckett Sr., and Barbara Hooper Puckett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James Puckett and Wayne Puckett and a sister, Margaret Matthews.

He was of the Baptist faith and employed by the Hail Manufactoring Co. for a number of years.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Stevie and Erin Puckett; his daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Michael Shaw; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby Puckett, Johnny and JoEllen Puckett, Henry and Mary Puckett and Riley and Diane Puckett; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Dot and Ron Wilson and Bess and Harold Baker; five grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with the family’s wishes, Mr. Puckett will be cremated. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
