The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County today, Jan. 24:

1. The Cedartown Senior Citizen Nutrition Center located next to Bert Wood Park has activities Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Seniors 55 and older may participate in activities. Seniors 60 and older may participate in activities as well as nutritional meals and trips.

2. The Cedartown library hosts story time for children every Thursday at 11 a.m.

3. The Rockmart Civic Arts Commission 316 N. Piedmont Ave., Bldg. 300, Rockmart, holds drawing classes on Mondays and Thursdays from 5:30-7:30 p.m. with Instructor Kathy Torres for ages 13 and up. Classes are $12 per session. For more information, call 706-266-7554.
