The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County this weekend, Dec. 8-9:

Saturday

1. The Cedartown Library will have a free showing "The Odd Life of Timothy Green" at 1 p.m.

2. The Cedartown Performing Arts Center will feature “The Nutcracker” at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets are available online at cedartownshows.ticketloop.com

3. Euharlee Baptist Church, 1103 Euharlee Road, will have a live nativity seen on from 6-9 p.m. each night.

Sunday

1. Euharlee Baptist Church, 1103 Euharlee Road,will present a cantata entitled “Arrest These Merry Gentlemen” at 6 p.m.

2. Freedom Baptist Church, 770 Huntington Road, Cedartown, invites everyone to join in a “Read the Bible For Life” class every Sunday at 6 p.m. For more information, call Ben Clements at 706-936-6769 or Sherry Clements at 706-676-1053.
