According to Rockmart recreation director Jeff Hulsey, if rain moves into the area the camp will be moved inside the gym building. If the rain holds off, the camp will take place at Hilburn Field. Hulsey is expecting close to a hundred kids at the camp.
Danny Ware, a Rockmart High School graduate, played college football at the University of Georgia. Ware currently plays running back for the New York Giants. Hulsey said nine former Georgia players and one former Kentucky player will be putting on the camp.
The free camp is for ages eight to 14, and will be July 12-14. The location is Hilburn Field in Rockmart, and camp will be from 6-8 p.m. all three nights.
