County and city firefighters responded to a structure fire this morning around 9 a.m. in the Rolling Hills subdivision.

According to Polk County Fire Chief Randy Lacey, the call came in at 8:41 a.m. as a report of smoke coming from 80 Woodglen Road.

Arriving on the scene, firefighters found that the fire was mostly contained to the home's utility room, though some fire had spread to the kitchen.

Lacey said the home suffered minor smoke damage.

The Rolling Hills subdivision is located off U.S. Hwy. 278, east of town.
